OUCH!!

After working horses today, the guys decided to treat a LARGE cow which had pink eye. It was Bryan's job to rope the thing. He got the rope around the neck of this 1500lb cow when his had got caught in the rope. As you can see by the picture....it was not a pretty sight. Darren quickly jumped in the truck and drove Bryan to the emergency room at about a 100 mph. Bryan was treated and finally released with a cast and now has to see a hand specialist in Reno tomorrow. He is soooo lucky he still has all of his fingers!!

Today, I finally decided I better make some bread. These two little girls decided that they needed to help. It is nice that they are finally getting to the stage that they can sit up in the bumbo. I love these things. I just put them on the counter and they watched as I mixed up the bread!!

Thank You....Thank You....

I can not thank my husband enough for taking care of ME and of my three little girls. A special thank you to my mom as well. I don't know what I would do without them. I don't know how a mom is suppose to ever get sick but I did and there was no way to take care of anyone but myself. That makes it pretty hard on everyone else. No...I didn't have the swine flu but just a very serious headache that turned into some serious vomiting that kept me up all night Sunday night. I ended up at the doctor's office Monday morning and after a few shots to stop the head pain, the vomiting went away and I was on my way to recovery. I think I finally have recovered!!

And The Winner Is....

Bryan found out Sunday that he had won the calf roping event for the 2009 Nevada Day Rodeo. He ended up winning $236. I think we might have him take us out to dinner now!!

Trick or Treating. She did pretty good for her first time!!

We had a wonderful Halloween. On Friday I went shopping in Reno with Lori and my mom and ran across these little kitty costumes. There were two of them in just the right size and they only cost me $1.60 each. They were worth getting just for a picture even though Kortnie didn't want to cooperate!! Kylee had fun trick or treating and we had a wonderful meal afterward with my family. Oh...it is so much fun getting together with siblings and Kylee loves having cousins around too.

4-Wheeling

Saturday afternoon, the kids spent hours on this 4-wheeler that has no power. They just had Darren push them around. Darren was definitely worn out but the kids had such a fun time.

Nevada Day Rodeo

We brought everyone. Kylee loves to ride on the stroller with her sisters.

Bryan moved back home for a couple months and of course he has roping on the mind all of the time. Darren has totally enjoyed having him around. On Thursday they found out that there was a Nevada Day Rodeo in Wadsworth. Of course....they had to sign up. Bryan participated in the calf roping and then partnered up with Darren in the team roping. Bryan won the calf roping for the day but had to wait to see how everyone did on Sunday. In the team roping, the rope didn't stay hooked for Bryan thus Darren didn't get a chance to rope the hind legs. All in all....it was fun to get out and enjoy the sunshine and a good old rodeo on Nevada Day.
